Maxcem parallels—and often surpasses—traditional permanent resin cements in performance and esthetic quality because of its proprietary redox initiator system. That combines etching, priming, bonding and cementing into one product. The outcome is exceptional material stability, highly efficient dark-cure mechanism, excellent adhesion and compatibility with all substrates, and superior long-term color stability in both uncured and cured states. Most other self-cure and dual-cure resin cements use a benzoyl peroxide (BPO) and tertiary amine pair as their initiator system to initiate polymerization and curing—a system inherent with problems.Maxcem eliminates these problems, resulting in a more esthetic restoration and a very efficient dark-cure mechanism. Maxcem is the first in this cement category to offer what is truly the easiest to use and fastest procedure on the market with the dual-syringe delivery system. This material is a two-part paste/paste, dual-cure resin cement that is both self-etching and self-adhering. The syringe conveniently combines the etchant, primer/adhesive and resin cement into one material. No hand mixing, and no separate activation, mixing or dispensing device required.Maxcem automatically mixes to a perfect, thixotropic (non-slumping) consistency and can be dispensed directly onto any dentalsubstrate through an automix tip, including new intraoral and root canal tips and brown mixer. Cleanup is fast as excess cement is easily removed after reaching a gel state.
