Most dental restorative methods require more than one visit to the dentist.  This means that on the first visit,  local anesthesia injected,  tooth prepared, an impression taken, and a temporary restoration put on the tooth.During the second appointment  ( couple of weeks later) the temporary pried off (if it hasn't fallen off already), and  a permanent restoration put on.

Microscopes are no longer new to dentistry. They have been in common use by dentists for over a dozen years now and though for some, endodontics may be the first aspect of our profession that comes to mind when microscopes are mentioned, many other dental procedures can be greatly assisted by this type of magnification.  While many restorative dentists are currently using loupes (which are the ultimate in portability between operatories) for their magnification, stereo microscopes sales to general practitioners are actually larger than those to specialists and those generalists employing operating microscopes are not limiting their use to endodontic treatment.

Children who get regular headaches may have problems with how their teeth come together, a study says.

Researchers from the State University of New York at Buffalo studied 50 children. They ranged in age from 8 to 16. They all said they had regular headaches. These children were compared with 50 children who did not have regular headaches.
